Weekend review: NAGAA finals

3 years ago, I joined the Washington, DC Gaels and learned how to play camogie and gaelic football. Since then, every Labor Day has been filled with blood, sweat, and fun as hundreds of players come together for the North American GAA finals.

This year in Philly was a little different for me since I tore my ACL a few weeks back. It was hard only being able to watch from the sidelines, but I still had a brilliant weekend. I’m already looking forward to next year in Cleveland; but let’s be honest, I’m just looking forward to being able to run again next year.

If you’re looking to get fit and find good friends, then I definitely recommend finding a GAA club in your town. The Irish are everywhere 🙂

Oh and to really make this weekend super fantastic, I got to have lunch with CrankyPants on Friday. Always a pleasure to catch up – though sad I didn’t snag a pic at lunch of our nom nom margaritas!
