Weekend review: Ocean City

After my big weekend in AC, I had every intention of making this weekend all about me and doing nothing but crafts and relaxing in my apartment. But, that’s not quite what happened.

BF called me on Wednesday night and asked if I wanted to make a last minute trip to Ocean City. I was torn and a big part of me wanted to say no, but I have a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out) and I twisted my own arm. And I’m so glad I did!

The weekend was perfect – hilarious nights out, fun in the sun, and even swimming in the ocean were the top activities. I thought AC would probably rule as June’s top destination, but I was blown away by the fun and simplicity of Ocean City. I already can’t wait to go back!!

From left to right, top to bottom:

  • View from our condo on Saturday morning (so sunny!)
  • Laying out on the beach
  • Late night activities on the boardwalk
  • Live band in Seacrets

Puppies FTW!

It’s just been one of those weeks where good fortune has filled my days with puppies! It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, they just always put me in a good mood…

Out for a walk with Tia from the shelter on Monday.

Spotted a Cesar on Tuesday in MY building while headed to the gym. I think he was ‘Maggie watching.’ Happy day!

Miss Tessie all stretched out after our walk on Wednesday – it was a HOT one!

Fingers crossed for more puppy sightings through the rest of the week!

Weekend review: Atlantic City

Last Sunday, 2 of my friends texted to ask if I was up for a girly weekend. We anticipated a somewhat standard night out, but on Tuesday I opened an email from the girls that suggested otherwise…we were headed to Atlantic City.

I don’t honestly know what to make or think of Atlantic City, except that I walked away with everything I anticipated: a new magnet for the fridge, a hangover that lasted twice as long as the night, and a few good photos of a brilliant night out with the girls.

It was my first time in AC and if you’ve been, I’m sure you understand why I don’t know what to make of the place. All in all – an A+ weekend!

  • View of the boardwalk as we headed down to the beach for a few hours.
  • Twisted Tea & Corona’s at Trump’s Beach Bar
  • Myself, Katie, and Missy at Harrah’s The Pool After Dark

Kitteh cradle

Saw this over at Apartment Therapy – it’s a kitteh cradle, to keep furballs off your furniture. I lol’d and thought it was cute. Now, I just need a kitteh!

Weekend review: Summer standards

Nothing too crazy to report now that the summer has started, but thought I’d check in and share my shenanigans. All in all, it was a somewhat quiet weekend due to a few unexpected sports injuries, but still a few good laughs.

From left to right, top to bottom:

  • The boys playing poolball at the local pub (think pool but with soccer balls)
  • Amazing sushi I had on Friday with one of my good friends
  • Out for a walk with Tessie on Friday and she spotted a bun-bun
  • Finished up the theory portion of my dog training certification, but lol’d at the “Business marketing” section when they made reference to a palm pilot #oldschool
