DIY: nom nom nom

When I decided to learn how to sew, I was excited at the thought of making awesome clothes. But wanna know what else is awesome?

I grabbed my inspiration from this slightly fancier pillow I found on Etsy, but since I’m a sewing novice I had to simplify a bit.

I traced out my letters and glued them on with fabric glue and added texture and security with old school cross-stitches. I left both the edging on the letters and the nommed side of the pillow ‘rough’ – primarily because I didn’t know how to stitch that close to the edge, but also to give it a truly nom nom nom appearance. To prevent complete unruly raveling I applied some fancy anti-ravel stuff that my mom secretly planted in my sewing starter kit. Handy!

Needless to say, I’m pleased, if not down-right impressed with myself!
